Chateau Cheval Blanc 2023 :

The Cheval Blanc estate was established in 1832 by Jean-Jacques Ducasse following the acquisition of vineyard land formerly attached to Château Figeac. Recognizing an exceptional terroir, the owners chose a unique grape variety, consisting of half Merlot and half Cabernet Franc. The wine was first rewarded in 1878 with a gold medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition.

In 1954, Cheval Blanc was classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the Saint-Emilion classification.

In 1998, Bernard Arnault and Baron Albert Frère became owners of the prestigious estate, injecting it with new vitality. Pierre Lurton then became President and CEO of Cheval Blanc.

The 2023 vintage presents a rich garnet-red hue, accompanied by a potent, intricate aroma. A harmonious blend of floral hints, black fruit, cocoa, and subtle tobacco notes. The palate is refined and graceful, with a direct and gradually intensifying initial taste. Intense fruit flavors are complemented by velvety tannins, creating a well-balanced and fresh sensation that lingers on the palate for an extended finish.
