Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2023 Description

More elegant than fleshy, more controlled than opulent, the Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2023 vintage is striking in its complexity and balance. This wine wears its red color through the eye, nose, and palate. It exudes fresh, ripe notes of redcurrant and blackcurrant, morning roses, cedar, and spicy aguaribay pepper. Sophisticated in character and demanding in proportion and harmony, it synthesizes the best of mineral, vegetal, and skilled craftsmanship. Sap, fruit, and flowers converge in a single delicate expression.

Harvest

  • Merlot: September 7 to 15
  • Cabernet Sauvignon: September 15 to 29
  • Petit Verdot: September 19 to 20

Almost prophetically, Cabernet Sauvignon is the centerpiece of this vintage. In ten years, the vineyard will have given it an even more prominent place. With its deep heart and delicate batches, it adds remarkable depth.

Climatic Conditions

  • Winter: Mild and dry, with regular rainfall
  • Spring: Warm temperatures
